About this event

This superbly presented tour of Halifax sets the city's history and landmarks within the broader context of Nova Scotia's natural, cultural, and political story from 1749 onward. The route draws out the connections between Halifax and the Bay of Fundy, Lunenburg, and other areas. You'll see the site of the Halifax Explosion along with the places tied to the city's connection to the Titanic, including the final resting place of 121 Titanic victims. Highlights include Citadel Hill, Argyle Street, the Grand Parade, Province House, the Lieutenant Governor's House, the Old Burying Ground, St Mary's Basilica, the Georgian and Victorian architecture of "Olde" Halifax to the north and south, Spring Garden Road and the Public Gardens, the Halifax explosion site and memorial, the Hydrostone National Historic District, and the Titanic burial sites and graves.
