Events at Maritime Museum of the Atlantic

On the Halifax waterfront at 1675 Lower Water Street, the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic is Canada's oldest and largest maritime museum, founded in 1948. Its collection of some 30,000 artifacts covers Nova Scotia's life at sea, from the 1917 Halifax Explosion to the world's largest holding of wooden Titanic artifacts, recovered by ships that sailed from this harbour in 1912. The steam-powered survey vessel CSS Acadia, launched in 1913, is berthed alongside.
