About this event
Chula is a music-driven solo play by Alexandra Lainfiesta, staged in the Citadel Theatre's Rice Theatre in Edmonton. It opens backstage in 2008 as Aria prepares to premiere Canada's first mariachi opera, then travels back to 1980s Guatemala and 1990s Edmonton. Performed in English and Spanish, with a full cast of characters and '90s karaoke hits.
