Indie-rock concert with Cheekface at Vancouver's WISE Hall, with Bodega as guest. A Los Angeles trio led by Greg Katz's talk-singing, the band trades in wry, deadpan spoken-sung rock with absurd yet clear-eyed lyrics about modern anxiety (albums Emphatically No and Too Much to Ask). An energetic, unpretentious club setting that suits their jittery, hook-heavy power-pop and dry sense of humour.
