Zoh Amba — American saxophonist and flutist born in Kingsport, Tennessee in 2000 — plays this date. A rising voice in free jazz and New York improvised music, trained at The New School and then with John Zorn and William Parker. Spiritual, incantatory sounds drawing from Pharoah Sanders and Albert Ayler. Albums O, Sun (2022), Bhakti (2023) and Sun (2024) on Tzadik and Zoh Music. Drawing avant-garde jazz and free-music listeners.
