The Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre is an indoor arena on the University of British Columbia campus in Vancouver. Opened in 2008 and LEED Silver certified, it is home to the UBC Thunderbirds hockey teams and served as an ice-hockey venue for the 2010 Winter Olympics. Its main rink seats about 5,000 and expands to roughly 7,000 for concerts and major events.
