The Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra performs Liszt's Piano Concerto No. 2 and Schumann's Symphony No. 3 at the Centennial Concert Hall in Winnipeg. Liszt's concerto, cast in a single continuous movement, was premiered in 1857; Schumann's 'Rhenish', written in 1850, takes its cue from the Rhine valley and Cologne Cathedral. Soloist to be confirmed.
