About this event
The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra plays Beethoven's Symphonies Nos. 1 and 3 at the Orpheum Theatre in Vancouver. The programme sets the 1800 First Symphony, still close to Haydn, against the 1804 'Eroica', the work that pushed the symphony into the Romantic era. The Orpheum, a 1927 heritage hall, is the orchestra's home.
