American soul-jazz band The Greyboy Allstars, out of San Diego, play the Rickshaw Theatre in Vancouver. Formed in 1993 and rooted in acid jazz, funk and boogaloo, the group features saxophonist Karl Denson and keyboardist Robert Walter. Their landmark debut "West Coast Boogaloo" (1994) featured James Brown trombonist Fred Wesley.
