About this event
A production of Katya Kabanova, Leos Janacek's three-act opera (1921), staged by the Summer Opera Lyric Theatre, a Toronto company founded in 1986 that trains emerging Canadian singers. A tragic study of social and religious oppression in a small Russian town on the Volga. Mounted at the Alumnae Theatre on Berkeley Street, an intimate room known for its acoustics.
