Exploring the Heart of Downtown Toronto

We gather at Nathan Phillips Square to discuss the history and significance of the square, City Hall and the Toronto Sign. We take in the neighbouring Spirit Gardens, an Indigenous cultural space made for quiet contemplation. Next, we discover the exterior of Osgoode Hall, then the Canada Life Building and its weather beacon. We move on to Dreaming by Jaume Plensa, followed by two of Canada's tallest towers. We stop by the lobby featured in the legal drama Suits, starring Meghan Markle, now the Duchess of Sussex. We touch on the history of street skateboarding in the Financial District and on the world-renowned architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. You'll learn about the Financial District's global reach and history, and visit Tembo, the wholesome Mother of Elephants. We then discover Toronto's PATH and the Allen Lambert Galleria, followed by RBC's headquarters. We admire the CN Tower and finish, at last, with the exterior and interior of Union Station.
