Chatterbox Falls by Floatplane from Vancouver

A floatplane run between Vancouver Harbour and Chatterbox Falls, at the head of a British Columbia inlet. The flight traces the rugged Sunshine Coast, past a scatter of islands and inlets, and crosses the Skookumchuck Rapids and their powerful tidal currents. The aircraft then puts down beside the falls, in a corner of the coast no road reaches: time on the ground is enough to follow the boardwalk and watch the water come down through thick forest. An optional picnic lunch stretches the stop out for anyone who would rather linger. GPS-triggered audio commentary runs during the flight in several languages, covering the history and the stories of what passes below. A smartphone and headphones are all that is needed, with the access code and instructions handed over before boarding.
