About this event

The Britannia Mine Museum at Britannia Beach on the Sea-to-Sky Highway between Vancouver and Squamish is a National Historic Site of Canada. The former Britannia copper mine (active 1904-1974) was one of the world's largest in the 1920s. Visit: a mine train ride into an actual underground tunnel, exhibits on mining history, a demo of ore falling through Mill 3 (the largest wooden building of its time) and BC's industry boom. About 2 hours, family-friendly, 45 minutes from Vancouver.
