The Britannia Mine Museum is a National Historic Site at Britannia Beach, along the Sea-to-Sky Highway about 55 km north of Vancouver. Set on the grounds of what was once the largest copper mine in the British Empire, the 10-acre museum preserves more than 20 historic industrial buildings and over 7,000 artifacts. Visits include a guided underground tour, gold panning and BOOM!, a multi-sensory show staged inside the towering concentrator mill.
