The Burton Cummings Theatre is a heritage venue in downtown Winnipeg, on Smith Street. Built in 1906-07 as the Walker Theatre, it was restored and reopened in 1991, then renamed in 2002 in honour of Winnipeg-born singer Burton Cummings. A National Historic Site of Canada, this ornately decorated 1,581-seat theatre hosts concerts, comedy and stage shows.
