Assiniboine Park is a large urban park in Winnipeg. It is home to the Lyric Theatre, a Tudor-style outdoor stage opened in 1999 that carries on a bandshell-entertainment tradition dating to the 1920s. The open-air site hosts free concerts, symphony, ballet and the Great Outdoors Comedy Festival.
