The Vancouver Convention Centre is one of Canada's largest convention centres, set on the downtown waterfront at Canada Place. It comprises two buildings: the East Building, part of Canada Place alongside a cruise ship terminal and the Pan Pacific hotel, and the West Building, opened in 2009, which lines the waterfront promenade. The complex served as the main media centre for the 2010 Winter Olympics and hosts expos, trade shows and major events.
