Opened in 1956 in the heart of Stanley Park, the Vancouver Aquarium is Canada's largest aquarium, home to more than 65,000 animals across some 166 aquatic displays holding over 9.5 million litres of water. Beyond being a major visitor attraction, it serves as a centre for marine research, ocean literacy, conservation and the rehabilitation of aquatic wildlife on Canada's West Coast.
