Malkin Bowl is an open-air theatre nestled in Vancouver's Stanley Park. Built in 1934 to replace an earlier bandstand, it was funded by wholesale grocer and former mayor William Malkin in memory of his wife Marion, and designed as a two-thirds-scale replica of the Hollywood Bowl. For over sixty years it has been home to the Theatre Under the Stars company, hosting concerts and musicals beneath the trees.
