Events at Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden

In the heart of Vancouver's Chinatown, the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden was the first Ming-dynasty-style scholar's garden built outside China. It opened on 24 April 1986, hand-built by 53 master artisans from Suzhou using traditional joinery without nails, screws or glue. Walled courtyards, a jade-green pond and covered walkways host guided tours, concerts and seasonal cultural evenings.
