Events at Canada Place

Vancouver's waterfront landmark at 999 Canada Place, unmistakable for the five white sails of Teflon-coated fibreglass that form its roof. Built on the site of the 1927 Pier B-C, it opened on 2 May 1986 as the Canada Pavilion for Expo 86 and was kept as a public legacy. Owned by the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority, it now holds the cruise terminal, Vancouver Convention Centre East, a hotel and a welcome centre, and stages major public events.
