On Front Street in downtown Toronto, Meridian Hall is Canada's largest soft-seat theatre, with about 3,170 seats. Opened in 1960 as the O'Keefe Centre, it was later known as the Hummingbird Centre and the Sony Centre before being renamed Meridian Hall in 2019. Long the home of the Canadian Opera Company and the National Ballet of Canada, it now presents concerts, dance, comedy and family shows.
