Since June 1993 the Hockey Hall of Fame has occupied the former Bank of Montreal headquarters, an 1885 building at Yonge and Front Streets connected to Brookfield Place in downtown Toronto. Fifteen exhibit areas spread over 60,000 square feet combine NHL relics, players' personal memorabilia and interactive games. The Esso Great Hall gathers portraits of every Honoured Member around the Stanley Cup. Founded in 1943 and first opened at Exhibition Place in 1961, the Hall still hosts the annual induction ceremony.
