A historic theatre on Victoria Street in Toronto, the Ed Mirvish Theatre opened in August 1920 as the Pantages, designed by architect Thomas W. Lamb. Once the largest cinema in Canada, it was later known as the Imperial and the Canon before being renamed in 2011 in honour of Ed Mirvish. Restored in the late 1980s, it seats about 2,300 across two levels and hosts mainly musicals and plays.
