A pillar of Toronto's comedy scene, Comedy Bar opened in 2008 on Bloor Street West in the Dovercourt Park neighbourhood. Founded as a home base for the sketch troupe The Sketchersons, it programs stand-up, improv and sketch comedy alike, mixing emerging local comics with touring headliners. A smaller cabaret room hosts its more experimental and alternative acts.
