The Musee de la civilisation is a major museum in Old Quebec City, on Rue Dalhousie near the river. Designed by architect Moshe Safdie and opened in 1988, it incorporates the 1751 Maison Estebe and the former Banque de Paris into its structure, and won the Governor General's Award for architecture in 1992. Alongside its exhibitions, it hosts intimate concerts such as the Candlelight series.
