Manivelle is set inside the former Saint-Charles de Limoilou church on 8e Avenue in Quebec City. Circus company Machine de Cirque moved in in 2020 and founded this multidisciplinary creation and performance centre, which offers artist residencies in unusual spaces. In 2026 the City of Quebec granted it $300,000 to keep circus arts alive in Limoilou. It hosts concerts, circus, cabaret nights and benefit evenings.
