La Nouvelle Scene Gilles Desjardins is a creation and presentation venue dedicated to French-language theatre, on King Edward Avenue near Ottawa's ByWard Market. Founded in 1999 by four theatre companies and significantly modernized in 2016, partly through a gift from philanthropist Gilles Desjardins, it houses two performance studios seating 173 and 100, a rehearsal studio and a patio bar, at the heart of the capital's Francophone culture.
