The Festival Theatre is the flagship stage of the Shaw Festival in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario. Opened in 1973 by Queen Elizabeth II and designed by Canadian architect Ronald Thom, it is home to the second-largest repertory theatre company in North America. Founded in 1962 around the work of George Bernard Shaw, the festival now stages a broad repertoire ranging from classic drama to concerts and musicals.
