The largest hall at Place des Arts, in the heart of Montreal's Quartier des Spectacles, Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier opened in 1963 as the Grande Salle and was renamed in 1966 after conductor Wilfrid Pelletier. With 2,996 seats it is Canada's largest multipurpose stage, and it is home to the Opéra de Montréal and Les Grands Ballets Canadiens alongside concerts, musicals and comedy nights.
