Inaugurated on 7 September 2011 with the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal under Kent Nagano, the Maison symphonique is Place des Arts' dedicated concert hall in the Quartier des spectacles. Architecture came from Diamond Schmitt and Ædifica, acoustics from the Artec firm, and the 2,100-seat room has drawn international praise ever since. It hosts the OSM, baroque ensembles and large choral works.
