The centrepiece of Montreal's Olympic Park in Hochelaga-Maisonneuve, designed by French architect Roger Taillibert for the 1976 Summer Games. Its concrete ring holds roughly 56,000 seats beneath a 165-metre inclined tower, the tallest of its kind in the world. Today it hosts large concerts, trade shows, sporting fixtures and electronic music events.
