Le National is a concert hall in Montreal's Village, on Sainte-Catherine Street. Opened in 1900 as the Theatre National Francais - one of the first professional theatres built by francophones in the Americas - it flourished under the direction of Rose Ouellette La Poune. Bought in 2006 and rebranded Le National, it now presents rock and chanson concerts (575 seated, 757 standing).
