The Centre Pierre-Peladeau houses Salle Pierre-Mercure, a performance hall attached to UQAM in the heart of Montreal's Latin Quarter. Opened in 1992, the centre seats about 845 and is renowned for its excellent acoustics. Originally built for concert music and dance, the hall now hosts theatre, classical music, musicals, jazz, comedy and youth shows.
