Opened in 2000 at 4873 Saint-Laurent Boulevard, Casa del Popolo, the house of the people, is a family-run Montreal institution combining a cafe, a resto-bar, an art gallery and one of the city's smallest concert rooms. The back room puts the audience within a few steps of the stage; Braids, Helena Deland and Tess Roby have all played it. It is a home base for the Suoni Per Il Popolo, Pop Montreal and M for Montreal festivals.
