Laval's largest venue opened on 17 October 1979 inside Collège Montmorency on boulevard de l'Avenir, and carries the name of the Quebec pianist and composer André Mathieu. It works in two formats: 827 seats for the full house and a more intimate 540 in half-house configuration. The non-profit [co]motion has handled its artistic direction since 2016, with stand-up comedy and song prominent on the bill.
