★ 4.6 74 Google reviews

An Anglican church in Halifax's north end, on Brunswick Street, begun in 1800 and regarded as the first round church built in North America, and the only Georgian round church built of wood. Its circular plan, drawn from Palladio, is credited to Prince Edward, Duke of Kent, then military commander in Halifax. Designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 1983 and restored after both the 1917 explosion and a devastating 1994 fire, it now hosts chamber concerts and candlelit recitals beneath its wooden dome.
