Founded in 1972 at 9615 Macleod Trail, Ranchman's Cookhouse and Dance Hall is a Calgary country-music institution. A simple cookhouse at first, it grew into a dance hall seating over 1,000 and has been named Country Club of the Year thirteen times by the Canadian Country Music Association. Shania Twain, Keith Urban and many others have played there; the venue is set to relocate to a larger nearby building around 2027.
