Events at Prince's Island Park

Prince's Island Park is an urban park set on an island in the Bow River in the heart of downtown Calgary. The island was created by a channel dug by the Eau Claire lumber mill in the late 19th century and is named after pioneer Peter Anthony Prince. Since 1980 it has hosted the Calgary Folk Music Festival, one of Canada's flagship music festivals, each summer, along with other outdoor events.
