Russian pianist Yulianna Avdeeva, first prize at the XVI International Chopin Competition in Warsaw in 2010 - the first woman to win it in 45 years, after Martha Argerich (1965) - performs a recital at Toronto's Koerner Hall. A recognised Chopin specialist, she also took the Krystian Zimerman prize for the best sonata performance.
