Whytecliff Park Indigenous Salish Sea Walking Tour

The Salish Sea & Me program sets out to celebrate the countless life-giving qualities and the abundant resources the ocean has offered the Coast Salish peoples since time immemorial. By putting forward and taking to heart Indigenous values, practices and knowledge, we open a more resilient path toward environmental stewardship, climate resilience and reconciliation. The program is an invitation to recognize all that the sea has given the Salish communities over the generations, and to draw on that Indigenous knowledge to build a more lasting bond with the land, one that stands firmer against a changing climate and looks toward reconciliation.
