Whirlpool Rapids Explorer: 2 Hour Interactive Guided Hike

NOTE: this outing only goes ahead once at least 4 people have booked it first; additional participants can then join. We run hiking adventures along the Niagara River gorge, led by a New York State licensed hiking guide. You'll get to know the beauty and might of the mighty Niagara River in a format that is fun, informative, and out of the ordinary, meant for those keen to escape the large, overcrowded tourist attractions and bus tours.

The tour opens with a view looking down into the Whirlpool from the rim of the Niagara River gorge. We then descend more than 400 steps into the gorge and follow the rapids trails to the Whirlpool flats; along the way, you'll learn more about the river and the historical events tied to it.

Once at the Whirlpool, you'll have free time to explore at your own pace, be mesmerized by its famous rapids, and capture some of the best photos of your vacation. Finally, we take the stone staircase back up and walk to our meeting point. This outing is not recommended for children under the age of 10.
