Vancouver Symphony Orchestra - Rachmaninoff 3 with Stephen Hough at the Orpheum Theatre

About this event

Pianist Stephen Hough joins the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra at the Orpheum Theatre for Rachmaninoff's Third Piano Concerto, one of the most demanding scores in the repertoire. The British knight, equally known as a composer and a writer, returns after playing Grieg with the orchestra. The concerto owes its reputation as the pianist's Everest to its density and its long, singing lines.
