Vancouver Symphony Orchestra - Beethoven 6 & 8 at the Orpheum Theatre

About this event

The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra pairs Beethoven's Sixth and Eighth symphonies at the Orpheum Theatre in Vancouver, in a programme subtitled Nature and Play. The Sixth, the Pastoral, turns birdsong, a country dance and a summer storm into orchestral scenes; the Eighth answers with wit and compact energy. Both belong to the complete cycle of the nine Beethoven symphonies the orchestra is playing across the season.
