About this event
TIFF 2026 hosts the world premiere of Zjili, the debut feature by Christine Boateng and Hajara Musah Chambas, in Toronto. Three women's lives intersect around Accra's Kantamanto market in a film built around the kayayei — the women and girls who work as head porters in Ghana's markets. It screens in Discovery, TIFF's programme for emerging filmmakers.
