About this event
Where the River Begins, by Colombian-Canadian filmmaker Juan Andrés Arango, world premieres in the Centrepiece programme at the 2026 Toronto International Film Festival. Yajaira, a young Emberá woman living in a rough Bogotá neighbourhood, flees with her daughter toward the Andágueda River. A Canada-Colombia-Norway co-production shot into the Chocó rainforest.
