About this event
Turtle Island Rap, Cree director Alexandra Lazarowich's documentary on the Indigenous hip-hop scene, screens at TIFF 2026 in Toronto. It follows three rappers: Toronto-based Anishinaabe artist Wiidaaseh, A$h Da Hunter of the Yavapai-Apache Nation, and Navajo artist Travis Thompson. Shot over nearly five years, it moves between performance, conversation and the studio. It plays in TIFF Docs.
