Bitter Christmas (Amarga Navidad), Pedro Almodóvar's Spanish tragicomedy, screens at TIFF's John W. H. Bassett Theatre in Toronto. The film braids a 2025 frame story with a non-chronological tale set in 2004, moving through grief, love and the limits of artistic licence. Bárbara Lennie and Leonardo Sbaraglia star. It premiered at Cannes in May 2026.
