Ancestors, the debut feature by Irish director David Turpin, has its world premiere in the Discovery programme at TIFF 2026 in Toronto. In a dreamlike 1980s London, Beau searches for his missing friend Tiny as dream, memory and the history of the AIDS crisis fold into one another.
