About this event

A guided walk through Toronto's best-known landmarks, led by a local historian who narrates the route from one stop to the next. Four places give the itinerary its shape. Queen's Park comes first, where the story of Canada's formation takes centre stage. Then the world-famous Kensington Market, whose streets show the city's multicultural fabric at ground level. Sankofa Square follows, formerly Yonge-Dundas Square and nicknamed the "Times Square of the North". The walk ends in front of Toronto City Hall, an architectural marvel that closes the loop between national history, neighbourhood life and the large public spaces of downtown. The whole route is covered on foot, at walking pace.
